I work for a "technology development company" and I can assure you almost all of this stuff is bullshit. These companies get an idea and before they have proof of concept they begin to promote it like it is already a finished product. Note many of these companies have imported huge numbers of Indians which make them culturally south-Asian. Indians get ahead in the game by making big promises and then finding people below them who will promise to deliver on these initial big promises. When the big promises don't materialize those who promised to deliver get the blame but the Indian and Jew who made the initial big promise gets the big promotion because the market believed his big promise and infused the company with huge amounts of capital. It isn't so much if the product works but if the market believes the product will work, as that brings in the new capital inflows to keep the whole big Ponzi scheme of "innovation" going. Remember, the whole purpose of our "economy" is to endlessly pile up more and more debt. "Tech" and "innovation" are crucial to piling up that debt. And once in a while something squirts out that the military can use to kill or control even more people.
Almost everything that "innovation" develops no one needs - innovation simply replaces an older way of doing something with a new way that results in the loss of jobs. It's almost all bullshit and unnecessary. The whole "Tech Sector" was built to create demand for US dollars as the US de-industrialized and to move investment away from the basic industries full of jobs we abandoned back in the 1970s.
