yours is the best synthesis I have read about these topics, many thanks...
Even if your articles are rather US centric, I imagine many other countries have had the same treatment, they all were some day privatized.
What I never undestood is: right, there is some "contract" by that a country is sold to repay a huge debt.
But why a country that declare itself "sovereign" can not renege this contract, like the kings of old did ?
The fact that this never happened presupposes the existence of some kind of "tribunal" which can enforce these "contracts".
Who are they ? Aliens with a Black Death stationing nearby ?
The authority of any tribunal rests on its legitimation, in it being recognized by all as having this authority. But this tribunal is hidden, not recognized, i.e. it doesn't exist.
The series The Killing Joke deals with the who. They operate through a global Nexus that has captured all nations by controlling every sovereign country's central bank and absorb them into this Nexus. They rule through total control of the world's money supply and cost of credit. The country that holds the world reserve currency status (USA) is designated enforcer in this global control structure.
Thank you for your kind words. I believe you will find my next work interesting. It is a financial, historical, and social analysis of the events in America since the late 1960s that made something like Covid-19 possible. Nearly everyone has missed what it was actually covering up, and the data are right there for everyone to access for free. I should have the first draft of this book length work finished up in the next several weeks, with second draft review / additions to take a few more weeks. Hopefully it will be of the standard you have come to expect.
I read this work on the Burning Platform after which I searched for this genius but couldn't find him.
I am a published author, have a PhD in engineering, and an avid reader. Of the tens of thousands of material I have read, your work ranks at the very top!
Ice-9, I have not yet completed this essay but I would like to have your opinion. Is it possible the fix was in? You mention a lot of wars but what of the American Revolution? Was it another war attrition? You mention that mercantilism ended somewhere around the turn of the 19th century. In some sense who benefited from the American Revolution? France was bankrupt, England gained most favored trading status, Washington allowed for the establishment of a central bank, Washington saw to it that whiskey was taxed (something unfathomable prior to the war), also whiskey competed as a means of exchange against currency, the war went on for many years and there were a lot of blunders by the colonist when they had home field advantage against an adversary separated by an ocean and the uses of guerilla warfare were extremely successful at the outset of the war but discontinued by a general who was experienced in guerilla warfare.
Just seems the central bankers may plot decades or even centuries out than day by day as they may like us to believe. What do you think?

So, how comes ?

Yeah,
I'm reading it...
But what you say may be true today, or even some decades before.
But in 1871 the US could have done it. Better another war than this, don't you think ?
If not the US, a group of countries.
Wealth is attractive, but power is even more so.
Every president or premier is only a kind of CEO, an employee. Why don't get the real power ?
The strengh of the philosophers is not so much their ability to create money, it is their invisibility.
What if a group of countries take off their mask ?
And not only their mask, the whole templars treatment...
